Adem\u00e1s, se identific\u00f3 la presencia de dos nuevos derivados de esta toxina, completando su elucidaci\u00f3n estructural a trav\u00e9s de t\u00e9cnicas de rmn y evaluando su actividad inhibitoria frente a las enzimas fosfatasas de serina\/treonina de tipo 1 (pp1) y 2a (pp2a).  Los resultados de estos ensayos in vitro fueron un alentador punto de partida para el desarrollo de modelos te\u00f3ricos de interacci\u00f3n enzima-inhibidor, los cuales se describen en detalle.  por otra parte, durante el estudio cromatogr\u00e1fico del medio de cultivo de p. Belizeanum se identific\u00f3 la presencia de dos nuevos metabolitos de elevado peso molecular cuyas estructuras fueron determinadas a trav\u00e9s de t\u00e9cnicas de rmn y espectrometr\u00eda de masas.  Estos nuevos compuestos son el belizeanolido (una macrolactona de 54 miembros, la tercera de mayor tama\u00f1o descrita de fuentes naturales), y su forma abierta, el \u00e1cido belizean\u00f3lico.  En la presente memoria tambi\u00e9n se describen en detalle los esfuerzos realizados en la determinaci\u00f3n de la estereoqu\u00edmica relativa de estos compuestos, y sobre todo, se desarrolla una metodolog\u00eda sencilla, r\u00e1pida y fiable para la asignaci\u00f3n estereoqu\u00edmica de anillos de oxolano, siendo esta metodolog\u00eda extensible a otros anillos de cinco
