Se analiza as\u00ed el salto cualitativo que sufre la formaci\u00f3n social clasista inicial y su modo de vida ganadero-recolector, tal y como tipificamos al modelo guanche, hacia la formaci\u00f3n clasista feudal y el modo de vida agropecuario-mercantil que se trasplanta a la isla tras la conquista.   para ello, el trabajo exigi\u00f3 abordar un conjunto de objetivos generales que nos guiaron en la labor de re-lectura de un proceso hist\u00f3rico cuya extensi\u00f3n temporal aborda tres siglos. Mediante el registro de fuentes etnohist\u00f3ricas, arqueol\u00f3gicas y documentales, centramos nuestra atenci\u00f3n sobre aquellas categor\u00edas de an\u00e1lisis relacionadas con los factores hist\u00f3ricos condicionantes del proceso: es decir, la naturaleza de los sistemas sociales enfrentados y las formas de relaci\u00f3n inter\u00e9tnica que se dieron; las variables y los indicadores del cambio y\/o la continuidad \u00e9tnica de la formaci\u00f3n social aborigen; y, a partir del an\u00e1lisis de estos aspectos concretar los resultados en el contenido \u00e9tnico o la aculturaci\u00f3n entre los abor\u00edgenes: si aqu\u00e9llos adoptaron la forma de coexistencia, asimilaci\u00f3n, integraci\u00f3n, transculturaci\u00f3n, marginaci\u00f3n o
