P48 desempe\u00f1a tambi\u00e9n una funci\u00f3n antiproliferativa, la cual puede resultar en una actividad de supresi\u00f3n tumoral. En el presente estudio, basado en una estrategia de cribado de doble-h\u00edbrido en levadura, han sido identificadas nuevas prote\u00ednas que interaccionan y que modulan la actividad espec\u00edfica de p48. Entre las posibles prote\u00ednas que interaccionan y han sido identificadas de novo se encuentra p\/caf, un co-activador que potencia la actividad transcripcional de p48, y icat, un inhibidor de la v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n de la \u00edY-catenina. Se ha demostrado que icat se une a p48 y ambos son co-expresados en el p\u00e1ncreas durante el desarrollo y en el adulto. Utilizando diferentes modelos celulares, la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de icat en c\u00e9lulas tumorales acinares result\u00f3 en un cambio en el patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n de genes espec\u00edficos del p\u00e1ncreas. Al mismo tiempo, se observ\u00f3 que niveles elevados de icat inhiben la interacci\u00f3n entre p48 y su co-activador p\/caf. Mientras que este complejo hetero-oligom\u00e9rico es necesario para la expresi\u00f3n de los genes acinares, se demostr\u00f3 que icat est\u00e1 presente en un complejo ptf1 reconstituido in vivo. Finalmente, se observaron alteraciones en la expresi\u00f3n de icat en varios tipos histol\u00f3gicos de tumores pancre\u00e1ticos, que posiblemente contribuyen a su fenotipo de diferenciaci\u00f3n y
