El primero se refiere al retrato de un rey. En segundo lugar: el retrato de una \u00e9poca. Con el respaldo de una considerable bibliograf\u00eda, e im\u00e1genes en gran parte in\u00e9ditas en la histor iograf\u00eda espa\u00f1ola, se han actualizado asuntos tan importantes para la teor\u00eda y la est\u00e9tica del arte como una significativa n\u00f3mina de retratistas regios y la evoluci\u00f3n del g\u00e9nero del retrato de la monarqu\u00eda. nuestro trabajo se organiza en cinco cap\u00edtu los ilustrados con una base documental gr\u00e1fica y fotogr\u00e1fica de diferentes instituciones nacionales e internacionales. teorizamos sobre el concepto de retrato y su evoluci\u00f3n en la historia del arte. Y m\u00e1s espec\u00edficamente, la apariencia del retrato de  la monarqu\u00eda espa\u00f1ola vigente desde el siglo xvi hasta el siglo xx.  establecemos un cat\u00e1logo razonado de los retratos de d. Alfonso, por orden cronol\u00f3gico del nacimiento de los retratistas. A partir de los retratos del soberano analizamos a los art istas espa\u00f1oles que retrataron al rey, y revisamos el panorama art\u00edstico y cultural espa\u00f1ol finisecular en relaci\u00f3n al europeo, durante los a\u00f1os que abarcan desde el nacimiento del monarca en 1885 hasta su salida de espa\u00f1a en 1931.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
