El estudio finaliza en el momento que todos los museos de arte se consolidan en un solo edificio. La busqueda ha sido posible por el estudio sistematico de las fuentes originales, el analisis de las publicaciones periodicas y el soporte bibligrafico de obras seleccionadas. Despues de un breve marco teorico referencial, el estudio analiza el caracter de las primeras colecciones formadas a barcelona y clarifica un conjunto de iniciativas museisticas casi desconocidas. Examina i reivindica el trabajo realizado por las instituciones no gubernamentales en la formacion y mantenimiento de los museos de la ciudad y busca los objetivos socio-politicos, culturales y educativos que guiaron la creacion de los museos en manos de las administraciones publicas. Una aportacion muy especial ha sido el analisis sistematico del trabajo desarrollado por todos los organos gestores de museos de arte.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
