Por este motivo, han surgido multitud de t\u00e9cnicas que permiten extender el rango de aplicabilidad de las t\u00e9cnicas tradicionales. En esta tesis, se toma como punto de partida de las t\u00e9cnicas de descomposici\u00f3n cl\u00e1sicas las cuales muestran a menudo problemas de convergencia.  con el objetivo de esquivar los problemas de convergencia, se considera posteriormente el denominado m\u00e9todo de las funciones base caracter\u00edsticas. En este algoritmo se genera un nuevo conjunto de funciones base que permiten un modelado eficiente de las corrientes. De este modo, la matriz resultante es de dimensiones m\u00e1s reducidas permitiendo el an\u00e1lisis de una mayor variedad de problemas dado el menor consumo de memoria. De cara a mejorar la eficiencia temporal, se estudian diversas t\u00e9cnicas que permiten el c\u00e1lculo r\u00e1pido de los t\u00e9rminos de reacci\u00f3n.  el m\u00e9todo de las funciones base caracter\u00edsticas es notablemente extendido mediante una versi\u00f3n multinivel que permite alcanzar tasas de compresi\u00f3n elevadas. Como ejemplo de aplicaci\u00f3n, se demuestra el potencial del m\u00e9todo para la s\u00edntesis de agrupaciones en entornos complejos.  finalmente, dadas las posibilidades que demuestra esta nueva metodolog\u00eda, se estudia una aplicaci\u00f3n de la misma en otros \u00e1mbitos. En particular se aplica al an\u00e1lisis de estructuras mediante ondas esf\u00e9ricas, obteniendo resultados muy favorables en cuanto a precisi\u00f3n y reducci\u00f3n de
