Los resultados obtenidos indican que este organo es el principal responsable de la captacion del egf que aparece en el plasma tras una estimulacion alfa1-adrenergica de las glandulas submaxilares. Pero el higado, ademas de captar egf, tambien es capaz de responder a este peptido. Hemos demostrado que el egf aumenta la degradacion de glucogeno tanto \u00abin vitro\u00bb como \u00abin vivo\u00bb. A diferencia de otras hormonas glicogenoliticas (adrenalina y glucagon), el egf no inhibe la glucolisis, de modo que los residuos de glucosa procedentes del glucogeno son utilizados mayoritariamente por el propio higado. Asi pues, sugerimos que el efecto glicogenolitico del egf tendria como funcion proporcionar glucosa-6p al higado, que la derivara probablemente hacia la via de las pentosas. Pero ademas, el egf tambien es capaz de interferir la respuesta glucogenolitica de la adrenalina. Esta interferencia es a nivel del componente beta-adrenergico, disminuyendo los niveles de ampc, por activacion de una fosfodiesterasa.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
