Typhimurium en agua de mar. Se han aplicado tecnicas tradicionales de crecimiento en medio de cultivo y tecnicas de citofluorimetria mediante la aplicacion de citometros de flujo y microscopio confocal laser.  se ha desarrollado tambien la aplicacion de un metodo de aislamiento de plasmidos naturales a partir de ecosistemas acuaticos naturales.  mediante la aplicacion de tecnicas de analisis citofluorimetrico se ha podido cuantificar la heterogeneidad de cultivos de las cepas tratadas en cuanto al grado de incorporacion de distintos fluorocromos relacionados con el potencial de membrana o con la integridad de la membrana plasmatica.  en las tecnicas de aislamiento plasmidico se ha conseguido la obtencion de plasmidos marinos por el metodo de conjugacion con una cepa receptora
