Este gen es el principal implicado en procesos de dimorfismo y formaci\u00f3n de biofilm en esta levadura. Estos procesos, en varias levaduras, son esenciales para la infecci\u00f3n y, en la propia s.Cerevisiae, son de gran relevancia industrial en procesos de producci\u00f3n de cerveza y vino principalmente. durante este trabajo, se ha empleado el alelo de flo11 que poseen unas cepas de s.Cerevisiae utilizadas en la elaboraci\u00f3n de vino fino. Estas levaduras, denominadas levaduras de flor, poseen la peculiaridad de flotar sobre una superficie l\u00edquida gracias al alelo de flo11 que poseen. Una de las diferencias de este alelo con el que poseen cepas de laboratorio es una alta expresi\u00f3n constitutiva. Este hecho nos ha permitido desarrollar una b\u00fasqueda de activadores de flo11 que ha sido de gran \u00e9xito, identificando dos nuevos mecanismos de activaci\u00f3n de este gen hasta ahora no descritos: la regulaci\u00f3n por ph y la llevada a cabo mediante complejos de modificaci\u00f3n de cromatina. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os hemos profundizado en el modo de actuaci\u00f3n de estos complejos, dando resultados novedosos sobre un tema tan actual como la regulaci\u00f3n g\u00e9nica a trav\u00e9s
