Entre los sistemas m\u00e1s prometedores para aplicaciones port\u00e1tiles est\u00e1 la bater\u00eda de ion-litio. Aunque ya se utiliza extensamente, todav\u00eda sufre de una carencia de materiales \u00f3ptimos para el electrodo. Este trabajo se centrar\u00e1 en la obtenci\u00f3n, caracterizaci\u00f3n y posterior estudio electroqu\u00edmico de materiales que pueden ser utilizados como material activo de los electrodos negativos de bater\u00edas de ion-litio. Los resultados obtenidos indican la viabilidad de extender las posibilidades de la reacci\u00f3n reversible con el litio de distintos materiales nanodispersos. La aproximaci\u00f3n novedosa del presente proyecto abarca a materiales electroactivos nanodispersados tanto durante su preparaci\u00f3n ex situ, como durante el funcionamiento de la propia celda electroqu\u00edmica (in situ).  \tlos principales objetivos de la tesis incluyen: i) la preparaci\u00f3n de materiales, como son las oxisales, por nanodispersi\u00f3n mediante el uso de emulsiones (carbonato de manganeso, oxalatos de hierro y cobalto) y mediante s\u00edntesis hidrotermal (fosfatos de esta\u00f1o); ii) caracterizaci\u00f3n estructural, (difracci\u00f3n de rayos x, espectroscopia m\u00ed\u00b6ssbauer, resonancia magn\u00e9tica nuclear, microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica; iii) caracterizaci\u00f3n electroqu\u00edmica y evaluaci\u00f3n de los nanomateriales sintetizados para ser utilizados como materiales activos an\u00f3dicos en celdas de ion-litio, buscando mejorar la  capacidad de retenci\u00f3n, la capacidad espec\u00edfica y la ciclabilidad.  \tha sido posible obtener compuestos de tama\u00f1os submicro (part\u00edculas de forma prism\u00e1tica con tama\u00f1o uniforme de 200 nm) y nanom\u00e9tricos (part\u00edculas en forma de nanohilos de 30-150 nm de ancho). Los compuestos obtenidos presentan capacidades por encima de 600 mahg-1, bastante superiores a las del grafito (372 mahg-1). Se ha comprobado que estas oxisales dan mayores valores de capacidad a velocidades altas de descarga. En resumen, las propiedades electroqu\u00edmicas de las oxisales sintetizadas las convierten en nuevos candidatos potenciales para ser utilizadas como material activo en bater\u00edas de
