Se pretende que el cemento  posea una fluidez y radiopacidad adecuadas para su uso en estas nuevas t\u00e9cnicas, proporcione un buen refuerzo vertebral y posea la capacidad de formar  sobre su superficie una capa de carbohidroxiapatita (hca) biol\u00f3gicamente activa que promueva el enlace con el hueso. Asimismo, se busca que el cemento proporcione una acci\u00f3n terap\u00e9utica adicional, incorporando agentes que favorezcan el proceso de curaci\u00f3n como antibi\u00f3ticos, o que estimulen el proceso de regeneraci\u00f3n \u00f3sea como la simvastatina. El estudio realizado permite asegurar que la adecuada combinaci\u00f3n de perlas de polimetacrilato de metilo (pmma) en la composici\u00f3n del cemento \u00f3seo bioactivo permite seleccionar formulaciones con una buena compatibilidad entre la matriz y la carga bioactiva, as\u00ed como adecuadas propiedades de inyectabilidad y viscosidad para su uso en vp y cp.  Por otra parte, la adici\u00f3n de vidrios bioactivos con un porcentaje relativamente alto de estroncio, junto con agentes terap\u00e9uticos a formulaciones de cementos acr\u00edlicos, proporciona formulaciones inyectables de baja viscosidad, baja toxicidad, altos niveles de formaci\u00f3n de hca, y capaces de liberar principios activos, lo que abre nuevas e interesantes posibilidades para las
