Desempe\u00f1a un papel fundamental en la explicaci\u00f3n del origen de la masa de otras part\u00edculas elementales.  en esta tesis se presenta el resultado de la b\u00fasqueda directa del bos\u00f3n de higgs del modelo est\u00e1ndar usando 4.8 fb-1 de datos recogidos por el detector cdf (collider detector at fermilab).  el canal que se estudia en este an\u00e1lisis es aquel en el que el bos\u00f3n higgs se produce asociado con un bos\u00f3n w (canal wh), donde el w se desintegra lept\u00f3nicamente dando lugar a un lept\u00f3n cargado de alto momento y a un neutrino, y el higgs se desintegra produciendo dos quarks b. La identificaci\u00f3n de jets b es un aspecto fundamental en este an\u00e1lisis y se explicar\u00e1 en detalle a lo largo de la tesis. La se\u00f1al de wh se ve mejorada notablemente con respecto a los fondos al identificar jets b, jets provenientes de quarks b.  la b\u00fasqueda del bos\u00f3n de higgs no es tarea f\u00e1cil. Uno de las mayores desventajas del canal wh es que la secci\u00f3n eficaz de producci\u00f3n es varios \u00f3rdenes de magnitud menor que la de los fondos.  No basta con una sola variable discriminatoria, sino que se necesita una herramienta m\u00e1s sofisticada que contenga toda la informaci\u00f3n del suceso. en este an\u00e1lisis se usa el m\u00e9todo de elementos de matriz. La idea general es que se calcula la probabilidad de que un suceso dado sea un suceso de se\u00f1al o de fondo. la probabilidad es funci\u00f3n de los cuadro-momentos del lept\u00f3n y de los jets del estado final, es decir es funci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n que se conoce del suceso.  todos los detalles del m\u00e9todo de elementos de matriz, la selecci\u00f3n de sucesos y la estimaci\u00f3n de los fondos se encuentran descritos en esta tesis.  resumen (en ingl\u00e9s)  the higgs boson is a elementary particle predicted by the standard model in particle physics. The higgs boson is the only standard model particle that has not been observed. Finding the higgs boson will explain the electroweak breaking symmetry and the generation of the mass of all known\u00c2\u00a0elementary particles, that are the most fundamental problems in particle physics. The data at the lep collider at cern allowed an experimental lower bound for the standard model higgs boson mass of 114.4 gev\/c2 at 95% confidence level. The search for the higgs boson continues at the tevatron collider, and higher sensitivities are expected at the lhc collider in the coming years.  in this thesis, a direct search for the standard model higgs boson production in association with a w boson is presented. The final state of this channel, wh, is given by the higgs boson decaying to two b quarks and the w decaying leptonically. The dataset used in this thesis was collected between february 2002 and may 2009 by the cdf detector and corresponds with 4.8 fb-1 of integrated luminosity.  identifying jets as b jets is absolutely essential for this analysis to reduce the amount of background events and to improve the signal over background ratio.  physic processes in which a w boson is produced in association with several jets can be misidentified as wh, since they have the same signature. Background contributions from heavy flavor production processes, electroweak processes, top pairs, single top production, and mistagged jets are estimated using a combination of monte carlo calculations and independent measurements in control data samples.  given the fact that the amount of signal events after the event selection is much smaller than the uncertainty in the background prediction, and, to achieve maximal sensitivity, this search is performed using a matrix element technique in which event probability densities for the signal and background hypothesis are
