Subobscura a nivell gen\u00ed\u00b2mic, se ha estudiado la recombinaci\u00f3n del cromosoma o de dicha especie a distintos niveles. Por una parte, se han obtenido dos mapas gen\u00e9ticos de este cromosoma, correspondientes a dos ordenaciones distintas. Se ha observado que la tasa recombinaci\u00f3n a nivel global es bastante uniforme, aunque se han detectado hot y colspots regionales. Una vez caracterizada la recombinaci\u00f3n en ausencia de inversiones, se genotiparon individuos heterocariot\u00edpicos para determinar c\u00f3mo las inversiones modulan la recombinaci\u00f3n. De esta manera se observ\u00f3 que la recombinaci\u00f3n se encuentra pr\u00e1cticamente inhibida dentro de las inversiones, y que fuera de ellas la reducci\u00f3n es asim\u00e9trica. Por otra parte, el an\u00e1lisis de genes nucleares en individuos que proced\u00edan de diferentes poblaciones muestra que no hay diferencias significativas, sugiriendo que hay un elevado flujo g\u00e9nico entre poblaciones. En cambio, s\u00ed que se detectan diferencias significativas en el contenido gen\u00e9tico de distintas ordenaciones, analizando genes localizados dentro de las inversiones.
