La s\u00edntesis de estos materiales se ha llevado a cabo a trav\u00e9s de la ruta cer\u00e1mica convencional. Para estos nuevos candidatos a pilas sofcs se prepararon con \u00e9xito las series caj.X,2aii\/2(sii.,Jzalx\/204)0 (hasta x=0.03) y sr3(si1-,mi04)01-i\/2t!Li<\/2 (t=ai, ga; hasta x=0.11), y nd2(si04)0, nd2(ge04)0 y la2(ge04)0. La caracterizaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica revel\u00f3 que son conductores complejos de ion \u00f3xido, con contribuciones prot\u00f3nica y electr\u00f3nica tipo p a la conductividad. Mediante estudios de espectroscopia de impedancias con la variaci\u00f3n de la presi\u00f3n parcial de ox\u00edgeno y medidas de fuerza electromotriz se confirm\u00f3 que estos materiales son conductores puramente i\u00f3nicos en condiciones reductores. para materiales tipo oxo-apatito, el uso combinado de difracci\u00f3n de polvo de rayos-x sincrotr\u00f3n o de laboratorio y de neutrones ha permitido obtener buenas descripciones estructurales de ellos. En este trabajo se confirm\u00f3 sin lugar a dudas la presencia y localizaci\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno intersticial en oxo-apatitos con exceso de ox\u00edgeno y la posici\u00f3n del lantano completamente ocupada. En oxo-silicoapatitos con exceso de ox\u00edgeno y vacantes de lantano el ox\u00edgeno intersticial fue localizado en una nueva posici\u00f3n m\u00e1s cercana al centro de los canales de ion \u00f3xido, 0(4), y m\u00e1s lejana de 0(3). Adem\u00e1s, la presencia de ox\u00edgeno intersticial en oxo-apatitos estequiom\u00e9tricos en la cantidad de ox\u00edgeno con vacantes en la posici\u00f3n del lantano fue firmemente establecida gracias a la presencia de una se\u00f1al en un mapa de diferencia de fourier, obtenido a partir de datos de difracci\u00f3n de polvo de neutrones a muy baja temperatura. para la9.3](si6024)02 se llev\u00f3 a cabo un profundo estudio de la relaci\u00f3n entre la microestructura y las condiciones de s\u00edntesis y sinterizaci\u00f3n. El proceso en un solo paso (sinterizaci\u00f3n reactiva) fue el procedimiento m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido para obtener muestras densas sin alterar en demas\u00eda la conductividad del interior del grano. para laio(s\u00ed5ai1024)02.5 se desarroll\u00f3 un procedimiento sint\u00e9tico basado en un proceso de heterocoagulaci\u00f3n. De esta manera se asegur\u00f3 una alta homogeneidad de las muestras en verde y mejores reactividades durante el paso de sinterizaci\u00f3n.
