Los enfoques y las estrategias se analizan en relaci\u00f3n a su influencia en los indicadores. En el estudio particip\u00f3 una muestra de 1083 estudiantes universitarios del primer nivel de distintos programas. En una primera etapa se les administr\u00f3 el cuestionario de procesos de estudio (biggs y kember) para establecer sus enfoques de aprendizaje. En una segunda fase, algunos estudiantes recibieron entrenamiento en estrategias de pensamiento reflexivo. Las calificaciones y el avance en el plan de estudios fueron observados y registrados al finalizar el primer a\u00f1o de estudios. Resultados: los promedios de calificaciones y tasas de avance fueron significativamente superiores en los estudiantes con enfoque profundo. Se observaron promedios de calificaciones significativamente superiores en el grupo con entrenamiento en estrategias de pensamiento reflexivo.
