Para ello se han realizado los siguientes estudios:  anatomia y ultraestructura foliar de las especies asi como los efectos del estres hidrico sobre estos dos parametros; inmunolocalizacion de acido abscisico (aba) en plantas de lavandula stoechas sometidas a estres hidrico, y finalmente estudios de relaciones hidricas e intercambio de gases (potencial hidrico, rwc y fotosintesis).  los resultados obtenidos ponen de manifiesto que las especies xerofitas estudiadas presentan diversos mecanismos de adaptacion a la sequia y que estos son propios de cada especie, abarcando desde modificaciones externas y regulacion hormonal (lavandula stoechas y rosmarinus officinalis), a alteraciones ultraestructurales y variaciones en el contenido hidrico de la planta (c. Clussi y p.
