Aunque espa\u00f1a y en particular la comunidad Valenciana no son zonas de riesgo s\u00edsmico elevado, el uso de este tipo de pilares ofrece tambi\u00e9n otras ventajas, como por ejemplo el incremento en la velocidad del proceso de construcci\u00f3n, la posibilidad de estandarizaci\u00f3n de las uniones y lo que es muy importante, una mayor resistencia al fuego. por otra parte, el uso del hormig\u00f3n de alta resistencia (hsc) en la construcci\u00f3n de estructuras de hormig\u00f3n se est\u00e1 generalizando gracias al abaratamiento de su tecnolog\u00eda. La utilizaci\u00f3n de este material presenta enormes ventajas, sobre todo en elementos sometidos a axiles de compresi\u00f3n importantes, como ocurre en el caso de soportes de edificaci\u00f3n o de pilas de puente. Sin embargo, el euroc\u00f3digo 4, con el que de dise\u00f1an estas estructuras mixtas, queda limitado a hormigones de hasta 60 mpa. dada la mayor resistencia seccional de las columnas cft rellenas de hsc, es posible reducir su secci\u00f3n, para un mismo nivel de carga. De esta forma la esbeltez y los efectos de segundo orden cobran m\u00e1s importancia. en esta tesis doctoral se estudia el comportamiento de las columnas de acero, esbeltas, de secci\u00f3n circular, rellenas de hormig\u00f3n de alta resistencia. Para ello se ha desarrollado una campa\u00f1a experimental que ha sido ampliada con modelos num\u00e9ricos. Se ha comprobado la validez del euroc\u00f3digo 4 y se ha realizado un estudio param\u00e9trico de las variables que influyen en la respuesta de estas columnas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
