Este fenomeno consistia en un cambio intracelular del enzima, es decir, en sobrenadantes y precipitados provenientes de la centrifugacion del homogenado celular a 1000 g. Se obtenia una disminucion en la cantidad total del enzima en los sobrenadantes y un aumento en los precipitados.  asi, el primer objetivo planteado fue conocer si este fenomeno era fisiologico. Por lo tanto, trabajamos con ratas ayunadas y realimentadas y obtuvimos que la translocacion de la glucogeno sintasa tambien se daba in vivo y que esta sedimentacion del enzima no era debido a una asociacion con el glucogeno. Ademas, la glucosa 6-p era la responsable de la translocacion y de la activacion del enzima en estas condiciones. A continuacion, nos planteamos conocer la estructura subcelular a la que se unia el enzima, y para ello utilizamos hepatocitos en cultivo. Los resultados obtenidos fueron que el citoesqueleto desempe\u00f1aba un papel importante en la translocacion de la glucogeno sintasa, asi como en la sintesis de
