Dichos genes participan fundamentalmente en procesos relacionados con la respuesta inmune, la reproducci\u00f3n y la digesti\u00f3n. Se ha dise\u00f1ado una plataforma microflu\u00eddica para el an\u00e1lisis de la expresi\u00f3n de los genes de proteasas, y se ha aplicado al estudio del c\u00e1ncer de colon, contribuyendo a la identificaci\u00f3n de nuevos genes asociados con la progresi\u00f3n tumoral. Finalmente, el an\u00e1lisis de distintos genomas tumorales ha revelado la existencia de numerosas mutaciones som\u00e1ticas en el dna mitocondrial, que podr\u00edan participar en el proceso de
