Se han utilizado matrices polim\u00e9ricas como poli(eterimida), resina fenoxi, poli(etil\u00e9n tereftalato), poli(trimetil\u00e9n tereftalato) y poli(butil\u00e9n tereftalato) junto con montmorillonitas con diferentes tratamientos org\u00e1nicos.  los materiales preparados se han caracterizado morfol\u00f3gicamente mediante t\u00e9cnicas como la microscop\u00eda electr\u00f3nica de transmisi\u00f3n y difracci\u00f3n de rayos x entre otras. La caracterizaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica se realiz\u00f3 mediante ensayos de tracci\u00f3n e impacto. Con la informaci\u00f3n aportada por las t\u00e9cnicas de caracterizaci\u00f3n y ensayo se ha tratado de comprender que variables contribuyen a la dispersi\u00f3n de las arcillas en el seno de las matrices polim\u00e9ricas utilizadas. Se ha demostrado que variables como la temperatura de procesado, velocidad de los husillos del extrusor o la polaridad de las modificaciones org\u00e1nicas de las montmorillonitas tiene un gran efecto
