Tanto el \u00e1rea superficial espec\u00edfica como la conductividad electr\u00f3nica del ac contribuyeron a las mayores velocidades de reducci\u00f3n. La agitaci\u00f3n en el lecho de carb\u00f3n produjo un incremento de la bioconversi\u00f3n del colorante. Se estableci\u00f3 un modelo cin\u00e9tico de decoloraci\u00f3n que implica cat\u00e1lisis heterog\u00e9nea y bioreducci\u00f3n. La biodegradabilidad anaer\u00f3bica de un colorante azoico en el sistema reactivo agitado pudo ser predicha a partir de su potencial de reducci\u00f3n. Las velocidades de decoloraci\u00f3n fueron significativamente influenciadas por las propiedades texturales del ac y moderadamente afectadas por su qu\u00edmica superficial. Este bioreactor catal\u00edtico parece ser una alternativa atractiva para la mejora econ\u00f3mica de las tecnolog\u00edas de tratamiento de aguas residuales textiles y de
