Asi, se ha demostrado la existencia de reacciones de transfosforilacion entre la adenosina y el amp el interior de vesiculas obtenidas de corteza renal de cerdo (bbm). Tambien se ha demostrado la existencia de un mecanismo regulador del transportador equilibrativo de nucleosidos por fenomenos de fosforilacion, via proteina quinasa a, presente en celulas de tubulo proximal de corteza renal. Por ultimo, se ha realizado una caracterizacion, bioquimica e inmunocitoquimica, de las ectoenzimas que intervienen en la formacion y en la eliminacion de adenosina en membranas apicales de celulas de tubulo proximal. Se ha demostrado que la ectoenzima fosfatasa alcalina es la responsable de la degradacion del amp a adenosina en el sistema renal estudiado. Las tecnicas inmunocitoquimicas han permitido el estudio de la distribucion en la membrana de las celulas renales de la ectoenzima que produce la degradacion de la adenosina, la adenosina desaminasa, comprobandose que se produce una colocalizacion parcial con la proteina de union de adenosina desaminasa, tambien conocida como dpp iv o cd26, y que la ecto-enzima ada se localiza en unas estructuras
