En la literatura se describen algunos estudios farmacocin\u00e9ticos de oxitetraciclina en diferentes especies animales, pero  existe informaci\u00f3n muy limitada en el pez dorada (sparus aurata, linnaeus 1758). El objetivo del trabajo incluye: (1) determinar la farmacocin\u00e9tica del antibi\u00f3tico oxitetraciclina en doradas (sparus aurata, linnaeus 1758) sanas tras dosis \u00fanica oral  (30 mg oxitetraciclina\/kg p.C.), V\u00eda pienso medicado a una temperatura del agua de 18 \u00c2\u00bac y tras dosis oral m\u00faltiple (30 mg oxitetraciclina\/kg p.C.\/D\u00eda, 5 d\u00edas), v\u00eda pienso medicado a una temperatura del agua de 18 \u00c2\u00bac, y (2) determinar la distribuci\u00f3 n y depleci\u00f3n tisular de oxitetraciclina y\/o su ep\u00edmero 4-epioxitetraciclina tras dosis oral m\u00faltiple (30 mg oxitetraciclina\/kg p.C.\/D\u00eda, 5 d\u00edas), v\u00eda pienso medicado a una temperatura del agua de 18 \u00c2\u00bac. Se utilizaron 249 doradas (sparus aurata, linn aeus 1758) sanas de un peso corporal de 200 \u00c2\u00b1 10 g. Los animales se dividieron en tres grupos: grupo 1 (180 doradas) para el estudio farmacocin\u00e9tico tras dosis \u00fanica oral de 30 mg oxitetraciclina\/kg p.C. Y tras dosis m\u00faltiple oral de 30 mg oxitetraci clina\/kg p.C.\/D\u00eda, durante 5 d\u00edas consecutivos; grupo 2: (49 doradas) para el estudio de distribuci\u00f3n y depleci\u00f3n tisular tras la administraci\u00f3n m\u00faltiple oral de 30 mg oxitetraciclina\/kg p.C.\/D\u00eda, durante 5 d\u00edas consecutivos. Los peces del grupo 3 (2 0 doradas) no reciben tratamiento y fueron usados para determinar los criterios de validaci\u00f3n del m\u00e9todo anal\u00edtico. Muestras de sangre a diferentes intervalos de tiempo se recogen de la vena caudal en cada uno de los peces en tubo heparinizados, se a \u00edsla el plasma y se almacenan a -45 \u00c2\u00bac hasta el an\u00e1lisis de la concentraci\u00f3n de oxitetraciclina por un m\u00e9todo de cromatograf\u00eda l\u00edquida de alta resoluci\u00f3n (hplc). Las doradas del grupo 2, se sacrifican sumergi\u00e9ndolos en agua helada, e inmediatamente s e toman muestras de tejido diana (m\u00fasculo   piel en proporciones naturales), que se almacenan a -45 \u00c2\u00bac hasta su posterior an\u00e1lisis de las concentraciones de oxitetraciclina y su ep\u00edmero 4-epioxitetraciclina por hplc.
