Actualmente est\u00e1 ampliamente reconocido que el efecto farmacol\u00f3gico de la mayor\u00eda de los f\u00e1rmacos es m\u00e1s complejo y abarca a un conjunto de receptores, algunos asociados a los efectos terap\u00e9uticos y otros a los secundarios y toxicidad. Los f\u00e1rmacos antipsic\u00f3ticos son un ejemplo de compuestos eficaces que se caracterizan por unirse a varios receptores simult\u00e1neamente (principalmente a receptores unidos a prote\u00edna g, gpcr).  El trabajo de la presente tesis se ha centrado en el estudio de los mecanismos moleculares que determinan el perfil de afinidad de uni\u00f3n por m\u00faltiples receptores de los f\u00e1rmacos antipsic\u00f3ticos.  en primer lugar se construyeron modelos de homolog\u00eda para todos los receptores potencialmente implicados en la actividad farmacol\u00f3gica de dichos f\u00e1rmacos, usando una metodolog\u00eda adecuada para construir complejos f\u00e1rmaco-receptor consistentes. La estructura de estos complejos fue analizada y se llev\u00f3 a cabo una comparaci\u00f3n mediante m\u00e9todos estad\u00edsticos multivariantes, que permiti\u00f3 la identificaci\u00f3n de asociaciones entre la actividad farmacol\u00f3gica de los f\u00e1rmacos antipsic\u00f3ticos y diferencias estructurales de los receptores diana.
