Esto implica un aumento de tama\u00f1o de las turbinas y la gran penetraci\u00f3n de la e\u00f3lica en la red. Los aerogeneradores modernos deben contribuir a la estabilidad del sistema el\u00e9ctrico. Deben funcionar a muy altas potencias superando los actuales l\u00edmites el\u00e9ctricos y estructurales. Adem\u00e1s, el cumplimiento de las nuevas normativas de conexi\u00f3n a red requiere el uso de topolog\u00edas con mayor integraci\u00f3n de electr\u00f3nica de potencia y controles avanzados.  en esta tesis, se ha identificado la topolog\u00eda m\u00e1s apropiada para cumplir los requisitos mencionados resultando ser la conexi\u00f3n directa (direct-drive) mediante generador s\u00edncrono de imanes permanentes y rotor externo, y convertidor multinivel de toda la potencia. Se han optimizado las estrategias de control del generador y de red implementando controles feedforward que contrarrestan el efecto de perturbaciones externas antes de que afecten al sistema.  el principal objetivo de la tesis, y donde se ha concentrado la mayor parte del trabajo, ha sido el dise\u00f1o de m\u00e9todos robustos de detecci\u00f3n de secuencia positiva que sean r\u00e1pidos y precisos ante arm\u00f3nicos, huecos, saltos de fase y variaciones de frecuencia simult\u00e1neamente.
