Sin embargo, estas vacunas solo proporcionan proteccion frente a cepas homologas, por lo que el objetivo de esta tesis ha sido obtener pecs relacionados con virulencia que sean comunes y capaces de dar proteccion cruzada.  tras seleccionar la cepa a018 de vibrio anguillarum, que presenta varias actividades extracelulares potencialmente relacionadas con virulencia (proteolitica, hemolitica y citotoxica), se ha estudiado la composicion de sus pecs, habiendose detectado previamente que son capaces de generar sintomas externos e internos muy similares a los de la vibriosis cuando se inyectan intracelomaticamente a lubinas.  los pecs de a018 estan formados por dos fracciones claramente diferenciadas: una fraccion soluble que continua al menos, una exoproteasa, y una fraccion sedimentable formada por varias estructuras:  microvesiculas o \u00abblebs\u00bb, restos de flagelos y algunos restos celulares. Se ha demostrado que los \u00abblebs\u00bb estan formados, en parte, por lps y la proteina mayoritaria de la membrana externa. Los estudios de reactividad cruzada demostraron que, aunque la proteina es caracteristica del genero vibrio, y la exoproteasa unicamente de vibrio anguillarum, existe una gran variabilidad en ambos
