Estos modelos permiten incorporar estructuras complejas como efectos aleatorios. Para el caso de datos espaciales, proponemos el producto tensorial por filas. La reparametrizaci\u00f3n como modelo mixto, permite la descomposici\u00f3n de las funciones en t\u00e9rminos de suma de funciones suaves. Esta decomposici\u00f3n evita problemas de identificabilidad habituales en otros tipos de suavizadores. La extensi\u00f3n al suavizado de datos espacio-temporales, la base se construye como el producto de kronecker de las bases espacial y temporal. en esta tesis, se estudian los datos del c\u00e1ncer de labio en escocia, analizados anteriormente en la literatura. Nuestra propuesta es la formulaci\u00f3n de un modelo h\u00edbrido que permite simult\u00e1nemente el suavizado a gran escala y capturar la correlaci\u00f3n espacial a peque\u00f1a escala con una estructura espacial que considera la vecindad de las regiones de estudio. para el caso espacio-temporal. Proponemos modelos de suavizado multidimensional, que permiten representar el suavizado como suma de funciones para el espacio, el tiempo y la interacci\u00f3n espacio-tiempo. Demostramos tambi\u00e9n que la construcci\u00f3n de estos modelos es equivalente a imponer las restricciones habituales sobre los coeficientes de la regresi\u00f3n.
