Estas transformaciones tuvieron un gran impacto sobre la poblaci\u00f3n brit\u00e1nica, que en este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n se analiza desde el prisma del abastecimiento y consumo de alimentos.  por tanto, en la tesis se analiza, en primer lugar, cu\u00e1l fue la situaci\u00f3n alimentaria, tanto en las clases trabajadoras como en las clases acomodadas, las repercusiones de los cercamientos y los motines de subsistencia en la alimentaci\u00f3n, as\u00ed como los debates sobre los niveles de vida, tomando la alimentaci\u00f3n como indicador. en una segunda parte, se examina un fen\u00f3meno de gran alcance como es la adulteraci\u00f3n alimentaria y los tratados e investigaciones que intentaron erradicarla. finalmente, en una \u00faltima tercera parte, se analizan las producciones literarias generadas por la cocina, tanto en el \u00e1mbito culinario como en el gastron\u00f3mico, as\u00ed como las estructuras editoriales de estas literaturas, adem\u00e1s de los cambios
