Los problemas de estructura aditiva pueden ser: problemas de combinacion, de cambio, de comparacion y de igualacion. Los de estructura multiplicativa se clasifican en problemas de isomorfismo de medidas, de escalares grandes, de escalares peque\u00f1os y de producto cartesiano.  se ha dise\u00f1ado, elaborado y aplicado un programa instruccional especifico para entrena la resolucion de problemas de este tipo con una muestra de sujetos de tercero de educacion primaria. La eficacia del programa se constata en diversos tipos de problemas en las distintas categorias entrenadas, sobre todo en los problemas considerados de un nivel de dificultad dificil.  asimismo se ha constatado la relacion entre la habilidad de resolucion de problemas y determinadas caracteristicas cognitivas, psicopedagogicas y de personalidad de los sujetos de la
