Todas las propuestas recogidas en este documento est\u00e1n basadas en la noci\u00f3n de profundidad estad\u00edstica, que consiste en una cuantificaci\u00f3n de la centralidad de puntos u observaciones con respecto a una funci\u00f3n de distribuci\u00f3n.  la tesis se divide en cinco cap\u00edtulos. En el cap\u00edtulo 1 se realiza una introducci\u00f3n de las funciones de profundidad m\u00e1s relevantes y se comentan brevemente sus propiedades y aplicaciones.  en el cap\u00edtulo 2 se definen nuevas medidas de similaridad en sentido estad\u00edstico, se estudian sus propiedades de continuidad y asint\u00f3ticas y se presentan los resultados obtenidos al aplicar dichas similaridades en el an\u00e1lisis de conglomerados jer\u00e1rquico.  en el cap\u00edtulo 3 se proponen transformaciones sobre las medidas de similaridad, con las que se obtienen funciones que verifican todas las propiedades de distancia. Estas distancias son aplicadas al an\u00e1lisis de conglomerados, mediante una modificaci\u00f3n del algoritmo de k-medias.  en el cap\u00edtulo 4 se propone un contraste de dispersi\u00f3n y dos contrastes de bondad de ajuste multivariante. Uno de los contrastes propuestos se define a partir de las similaridades del cap\u00edtulo 2. Se presenta adem\u00e1s, un estudio de potencia para los tres contrastes y las distribuciones normal, uniforme y exponencial.  en el \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo se enumeran los resultados m\u00e1s
