Aunque tradicionalmente estos adhesivos han sido sintetizados en polimerizaci\u00f3n en disoluci\u00f3n o fusi\u00f3n-caliente, aspectos econ\u00f3micos y medioambientales han hecho que los psas en base agua hayan acaparado la atenci\u00f3n de los productores en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Una de las limitaciones de los adhesivos sensibles a la presi\u00f3n acr\u00edlicos es que, por naturaleza qu\u00edmica, poseen poca fuerza cohesiva. En este trabajo se han sintetizado adhesivos sensibles a la presi\u00f3n en base agua de  pol\u00edmeros h\u00edbridos poliuretano\/acr\u00edlico. Se esperaba que la adici\u00f3n de poliuretano a un adhesivo de acr\u00edlico pudiera aumentar la fuerza cohesiva del producto final, abriendo as\u00ed la posibilidad de utilizar los productos en aplicaciones de alta temperatura. Con el objetivo de conseguir un sinergismo real en las propiedades adhesivas finales, la formulaci\u00f3n y el proceso de producci\u00f3n fueron especialmente dise\u00f1ados para unir el poliuretano y el acr\u00edlico mediante enlaces covalentes. Para ese prop\u00f3sito, las reacci\u00f3n de adici\u00f3n de un metacrilato con funcionalidad hidroxilo (hema) y un prepol\u00edmero de poliuretano con funcionalidad isocianato (incorez 701, incorez ltd.), Y la polimerizaci\u00f3n radicalaria libre de los mon\u00f3meros acr\u00edlicos fueron llevadas a cabo de forma simultanea  adem\u00e1s, con el objetivo de incrementar el peso molecular del prepol\u00edmero de poliuretano, su reacci\u00f3n de adici\u00f3n con un diol (un agente alargador de cadena) fue llevado a cabo en el mismo proceso.
