Para ello, se calculan en primer lugar, utilizando una metodolog\u00eda propia, las existencias y crecimientos anuales de biomasa forestal en la provincia de c\u00e1ceres. Utilizando un sistema de informaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica se propone una metodolog\u00eda que permite su aplicaci\u00f3n en otros ambitos geogr\u00e1ficos o realizar actualizaciones con gran facilidad. Los resultados obtenidos son cartografiados. Se realiza adem\u00e1s un an\u00e1lisis espacial para  mostrar cuales ser\u00edan las mejores ubicaciones en la provincia de c\u00e1ceres para plantas de preparaci\u00f3n de biocombustibles s\u00f3lidos usando biomasa forestal como materia prima. Se proponen dos tipos de plantas: plantas de peletizado y plantas de torrefacci\u00f3n de biomasa forestal.
