Los logros de disney (apenas tratados en estudios de comunicaci\u00f3n) a\u00fan sustentan buena parte del andamiaje t\u00e9cnico, art\u00edstico e institucional de la producci\u00f3n audiovisual infantil. los cuentos de hadas seg\u00fan walt disney analiza los procesos creativos que se acometieron al crear el n\u00facleo de la producci\u00f3n del estudio: los largometrajes basados en cuentos de hadas. Para ello se ha elaborado una completa cronolog\u00eda de los principales hitos institucionales y se han documentado las apropiaciones pl\u00e1sticas, literarias, cinematogr\u00e1ficas y musicales. Se ha definido y delimitado, adem\u00e1s, el cuento de hadas como g\u00e9nero literario para caracterizar con precisi\u00f3n el objeto de estudio. El trabajo contin\u00faa con un an\u00e1lisis minucioso de las pel\u00edculas m\u00e1s significativas del periodo (blancanieves [1936], cenicienta [1950] y la bella durmiente [1959]) seg\u00fan los postulados estructuralistas de g\u00e9rard genette, con aportes de roland barthes y vlad\u00edmir propp. las conclusiones desvelan varios patrones de continuidad y, a partir de ellos, se propone una descripci\u00f3n de estrategias disneyanas: l\u00edneas de avance, bases creativas, filiaci\u00f3n tradicional y aspiraciones comunicativas. Tambi\u00e9n se explican los intereses de disney en la explotaci\u00f3n de los cuentos de hadas y el papel de \u00e9stos en la identidad del estudio, de forma que se consigue caracterizar exhaustivamente un tema poco documentado y habitualmente velado por prejuicios y lecturas superficiales: la relaci\u00f3n entre la factor\u00eda disney y los textos que forman su materia prima
