Algunos de estos tipos de pastizales y prados son objeto de conservaci\u00f3n a nivel europeo y por ello han sido considerados como h\u00e1bitats de inter\u00e9s comunitario y prioritarios en la directiva europea relativa a la conservaci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad, dir. 92\/43\/cee.  se han distinguido 72 tipos diferentes de comunidades de prados y pastizales, que se agrupan en 60 asociaciones fitosociol\u00f3gicas y 12 comunidades, que abarcan desde los pastizales criorotemplados y orotemplados de oxytropido-kobresion myosuroidis, primulion intricatae, salicion pyrenaicae, festucion scopariae, festucion eskiae y nardion strictae, los supratemplados y mesotemplados de violion caninae, potentillo-brachypodion rupestris, genistion occidentalis, arrhenatherion y cynosurion cristati, los supramediterr\u00e1neos y mesomediterr\u00e1neos de brachypodion phoenicoidis, plantagini-thymion mastigophori, thero-brachypodion retusi y agropyro-lygeion sparti, las comunidades de plantas anuales de thero-airion, sedo-ctenopsion y brachypodion distachyi y las comunidades de plantas crassicaules de sedion pyrenaici y sedion micrantho-sediformis, hasta los juncales y herbazales higr\u00f3filos de molinion caeruleae, juncion acutiflori o molinio-holoschoenion.  se describen o han sido descritas en el desarrollo de este trabajo 5 asociaciones y 8 subasociaciones nuevas. Se confirma tambi\u00e9n la presencia de 9 asociaciones que hab\u00edan sido citadas en \u00e1reas lim\u00edtrofes o cercanas y se aportan inventarios de sintaxones sobre los que la informaci\u00f3n disponible era escasa.  por \u00faltimo, se ha elaborado un cat\u00e1logo flor\u00edstico con 1576 taxones, que recoge las especies que han aparecido en los 1126 inventarios incluidos en este trabajo,
