Dentro de este contexto, la qu\u00edmica verde es una nueva filosof\u00eda de trabajo basada en la investigaci\u00f3n y dise\u00f1o de productos y procesos teniendo en cuenta par\u00e1metros de sostenibilidad, como son el mejor aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales y la minimizaci\u00f3n de los residuos generados en tales procesos.  la presente tesis doctoral trata sobre el desarrollo de nuevos m\u00e9todos de s\u00edntesis de nanomateriales dentro de los principios de la qu\u00edmica, haciendo especial hincapi\u00e9 en materiales como el di\u00f3xido de titanio y el \u00f3xido de cinc, ya que son \u00fatiles en aplicaciones como la degradaci\u00f3n fotocatal\u00edtica de contaminantes en disoluci\u00f3n acuosa, o la transformaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda lum\u00ednica en energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica mediante dispositivos como las celdas solares sensibilizadas.   de esta manera, se proponen m\u00e9todos de s\u00edntesis a temperaturas inferiores a 100 \u00c2\u00bac y presi\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica, as\u00ed como m\u00e9todos en ausencia de disolvente para reducir el impacto ambiental durante la s\u00edntesis de estos materiales, que se han caracterizado usando una amplia variedad de t\u00e9cnicas, incluyendo difracci\u00f3n de rayos x, espectroscopia de infrarrojos, microscopia electr\u00f3nica, etc.  se eval\u00faa la eficiencia de dichos materiales en
