Existe tratamiento frente a la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de erbb2 mediante un anticuerpo monoclonal (trastuzumab) pero presenta graves efectos secundarios y elevado coste, por lo que un diagn\u00f3stico preciso  y fiable resulta imprescindible. \tdurante el transcurso de esta tesis, se ha desarrollado un nuevo m\u00e9todo de detecci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de erbb2 mediante un nuevo tipo de hibridaci\u00f3n in situ llamado rish (rapid in situ hybridization) y se ha comparado con los dos m\u00e9todos de diagn\u00f3stico hoy d\u00eda utilizados fish (fluorescence in situ hybridization) y la inmunohistoqu\u00edmica; como resultado se observ\u00f3 que el nuevo m\u00e9todo rish se muestra como una alternativa m\u00e1s fiable, r\u00e1pida y sencilla que la fish, constituyendo un mejor compa\u00f1ero para la inmunohistoqu\u00edmica. \tpor \u00faltimo, durante esta tesis, se han analizado aquellos aspectos llamativos del m\u00e9todo desarrollado (como el patr\u00f3n de expresi\u00f3n nuclear en algunos tipos de tumor) y la relaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n de erbb2 con los miembros de su familia erbb3 y erbb4.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
