Debido a que este objetivo dista de ser inmediato, ha sido necesario un estudio sistem\u00e1tico previo de validaci\u00f3n metodol\u00f3gica en diferentes compuestos de cobre: complejos dinucleares de cobre, \u00f3xidos y fluoruros de cu(ii) y ni(ii) y cupratos superconductores. en todos los sistemas estudiados el magnetismo es una propiedad crucial para entender su estructura electr\u00f3nica y resluta ser un severo test para la metodolog\u00eda que pretende describirla. de los resultados de este trabajo se desprenden diferentes conclusiones en las que se destaca la validez de los funcionales h\u00edbridos lc-\u00c2\u00bfpbe y hse para el estudio de compuestos magn\u00e9ticos moleculares y la metodolog\u00eda lda+u para el estudio de la estructura electr\u00f3nica en cupratos
