Para describir los procesos biol\u00f3gicos se utilizan diferentes niveles de abstracci\u00f3n. En este trabajo, hemos utilizados grafos y ecuaciones diferenciales para modelar interacciones celulares a nivel cualitativo y cuantitativo.  hemos analizado datos disponibles de diferentes organismos, e. Coli y s. Cerevisiae, a nivel completo de organismo tanto de actividad como de interacci\u00f3n. A nivel de interacci\u00f3n, varias redes  han sido estudiadas: redes de interacciones prote\u00edna-prote\u00edna, redes de regulaci\u00f3n transcripcional y redes metab\u00f3licas. En cuanto a las redes de actividad, han sido estudiadas tanto redes de expresi\u00f3n gen\u00f3mica como prote\u00f3mica. De la rica variedad en medidas de grafos, una de las m\u00e1s importantes es la distribuci\u00f3n de grado. He aplicado herramientas de an\u00e1lisis estad\u00edstico a estas redes biol\u00f3gicas con la intenci\u00f3n de caracterizar la distribuci\u00f3n de grado. En todos los casos estudiados, las distribuciones de grado ten\u00edan forma de cola pesada, pero la gran mayor\u00eda presentaba diferencias significativas con un modelo de ley de potencias, utilizando un test estad\u00edstico. Adem\u00e1s, ninguna de las redes puede ser asignada de forma un\u00edvoca a ninguna de las distribuciones probadas.  por otro lado, dentro de una perspectiva de mayor resoluci\u00f3n, he utilizado ecuaciones diferenciales para modelar las din\u00e1micas de los sistemas bioqu\u00edmicos. Primero, una herramienta de software llamada byodyn ha sido creada desde cero, incorporando un bater\u00eda generosamente amplia de m\u00e9todos de an\u00e1lisis. Pueden utilizarse simulaciones tanto determin\u00edsticas como estoc\u00e1sticas, los modelos pueden ser analizados por medio de la estimaci\u00f3n de par\u00e1metros y son disponibles las metodolog\u00edas de an\u00e1lisis de sensibilidad, identifiabilidad y dise\u00f1o \u00f3ptimo de experimentos. Adicionalmente, una interfaz web ha sido creada para proveer la posibilidad de interaccionar con el programa de una manera gr\u00e1fica e independiente de la configuraci\u00f3n del usuario, permitiendo la ejecuci\u00f3n del programa en diferentes entornos computacionales. Finalmente, hemos aplicado un protocolo de dise\u00f1o \u00f3ptimo de experimentos a un modelo multicelular de la embriog\u00e9nesis.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
