Se han clonado todos los genes involucrados en dicha ruta, se han purificado y caracterizado todas las enzimas que \u00e9stos codifican.  parte de las investigaciones actuales se centran en los procesos regulatorios de la ruta de bios\u00edntesis de este antibi\u00f3tico. Los resultados de los estudios realizados indican que la bios\u00edntesis de penicilina est\u00e1 controlada por reguladores globales del metabolismo secundario m\u00e1s que por un regulador espec\u00edfico, por lo que el objetivo de esta tesis doctoral ha sido la purificaci\u00f3n y caracterizaci\u00f3n de una mol\u00e9cula inductora que act\u00fae a nivel de regulaci\u00f3n g\u00e9nica siendo capaz de incrementar la producci\u00f3n de bencilpenicilina en el hongo filamentoso penicillium chrysogenum.  para este cometido se ha abordado este trabajo en varios enfoques, estudiados en tres cap\u00edtulos:  1. B\u00fasqueda inicial de mol\u00e9culas inductoras en p. Chrysogenum y desarrollo de un m\u00e9todo de purificaci\u00f3n del compuesto inductor. 2. Influencia de la suplementaci\u00f3n de los medios de cultivo con el compuesto inductor purificado en el cap\u00edtulo 1. 3. An\u00e1lisis prote\u00f3mico en p.
