En parte, esta elecci\u00f3n se ha hecho teniendo en mente que este tipo de genes representa un mecanismo de control temporal y espacial de la producci\u00f3n de iaa, hormona que est\u00e1 involucrada en la mayor\u00eda de los aspectos del crecimiento y desarrollo de las plantas. La contribuci\u00f3n al conocimiento de la v\u00eda de la tam en solanum lycopersicum podr\u00eda aportar luz sobre la enorme diversidad que exhiben los diferentes cultivares de tomate, tanto en la arquitectura de la planta y como en la morfolog\u00eda de los frutos, as\u00ed como permitir el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias para la producci\u00f3n de frutos sin semillas dentro de un rango m\u00e1s amplio de temperaturas ambientales y mediante procesos de partenocarpia inducidos por el iaa. Por otro lado, seg\u00fan nuestro parecer, como un indicio de que ciertas bacterias fitopat\u00f3genas pueden activar la s\u00edntesis de fmos de tipo yucca con la intenci\u00f3n de aumentar los
