Este efecto del egf estar\u00eda modulado por la actividad de la v\u00eda pi3k\/akt. La activaci\u00f3n constitutiva de esta v\u00eda de se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n, por falta de pten, permite que el egf estimule la proliferaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas lncap, bloqueando el proceso de diferenciaci\u00f3n ne. Por el contrario, en presencia de inhibidores de esta v\u00eda como ly294002, el egf induce supervivencia celular, permitiendo la diferenciaci\u00f3n ne. Por lo tanto, era necesario comprender los mecanismos moleculares responsables de este cambio en los efectos del egf, al inhibir la v\u00eda de la pi3k\/akt, ya que en estas condiciones, las c\u00e9lulas tumorales sobreviven y adquieren el fenotipo ne, dos procesos de enorme trascendencia para la progresi\u00f3n tumoral prost\u00e1tica.Nuestros resultados demuestran, por primera vez, que el tratamiento conjunto de las c\u00e9lulas lncap con egf y ly29 provoca un aumento de los niveles de erbb2. Este receptor es responsable de la adquisici\u00f3n del fenotipo ne pero no de la supervivencia celular en estas condiciones. Este aumento de erbb2 ser\u00eda el resultado no solo de un aumento en su s\u00edntesis sino tambi\u00e9n de su permanencia en la membrana celular. Sorprendentemente, este aumento de erbb2 es independiente de la v\u00eda pi3k\/akt y es el resultado de los efectos del ly29 en presencia de egf sobre: hsp90, erk1\/2 y\/o probablemente
