Sin embargo, su utilizaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 relacionada con la aparici\u00f3n del s\u00edndrome de hiperestimulaci\u00f3n ov\u00e1rica (sho), especialmente cuando ciertos factores de riesgo est\u00e1n presentes, principalmente la presencia de un n\u00famero elevado de fol\u00edculos. Este riesgo puede ser dr\u00e1sticamente disminuido sustituyendo la hcg por un agonista gnrh como inductor de la maduraci\u00f3n final en ciclos fiv con antagonistas gnrh. Aunque, este uso se asocia a una alta tasa de aborto temprano ocasionada por una fase l\u00fatea deficiente. La funci\u00f3n del cuerpo l\u00fateo se ve seriamente comprometida con el empleo del agonista gnrh (lute\u00f3lisis), sin embargo, la potente acci\u00f3n luteotr\u00f3pica de la hcg puede ser beneficiosa empleando dosis peque\u00f1as como suplemento en la fase l\u00fatea y sin incrementar el riesgo de sho. en un esfuerzo por reducir la tasa de abortos cl\u00ednicos asociada al empleo de agonista gnrh, la presente tesis estudia la utilizaci\u00f3n de peque\u00f1as dosis de hcg como suplemento de la fase l\u00fatea con el objetivo de rescatar el cuerpo l\u00fateo, normalizar las tasas de embarazo y gestaci\u00f3n evolutiva; adem\u00e1s de reducir la presentaci\u00f3n del sho en la paciente con alta respuesta a la estimulaci\u00f3n ov\u00e1rica en ciclos
