Y de ruditapes decussatus l. Se evaluo la velocidad de crecimiento empleando tres flujos de agua residual que correspondieron con 1, 2 y 4 renovaciones por hora del volumen del estanque y se comparo con un estanque control con agua de mar a un flujo de 2 renovaciones\/h. El crecimiento fue considerablemente mayor en los individuos que filtran el agua residual con una baja mortalidad e indices de condicion elevados. Se realizo un estudio del ciclo reproductor de venerupis pullastra cultivada en estas especiales condiciones y no se encontraron alteraciones aparentes del mismo con claros periodos de puesta y post-puesta y una restauracion muy rapida de la gonada.  se determino la composicion bioquimica global de la semilla de ruditapes decussatus cultivada con agua residual y en el medio natural (carril). Los niveles de los principales componentes bioquimicos fueron notablemente superiores en los individuos que filtran agua residual comparandolos con los cultivados en carril y en el estanque control. Ademas, ruditapes decussatus sigue estrategias diferentes en cuanto a la acumulacion de reservas energeticas: en carril la semilla acumula preferentemente glucidos mientras que la cultivada con agua residual contiene sobre todo lipidos.
