En la microscopia de fuerzas bimodal la micropalanca es forzada a oscilar simultaneamente en sus dos primeros modos de vibracion flexurales, consiguiendo asi la toma de imagenes de fase de alta resolucion espacial en ausencia de fuerzas disipativas.%&#038;\/Por ultimo, la microscopia de fuerzas bimodal permite la medida local de la constante de hamaker en la interaccion de van der waals
