En este trabajo, se ha abordado la b\u00fasqueda de nuevos genes que intervengan en dicha respuesta adaptativa. Para lograr este fin, se han buscado prote\u00ednas que interaccionan con spx1, un represor de las respuestas al ayuno de pi, utilizando la t\u00e9cnica de los dos h\u00edbridos en levaduras. En este escrutinio se aisl\u00f3 el gen bhlh149, que codifica una prote\u00edna nuclear con caracter\u00edsticas de factor transcripcional pero sin capacidad de uni\u00f3n a dna. Bhlh149 interacciona in vivo con spx1 de manera m\u00e1s eficiente durante el ayuno de pi y con pho2, otro gen regulador de la respuesta. Los niveles de acumulaci\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna bhlh149 en funci\u00f3n de la cantidad de pi del medio est\u00e1n regulados por spx1 y pho2. As\u00ed, en condiciones de suficiencia de fosfato, pho2 actuar\u00eda como regulador negativo de la acumulaci\u00f3n de bhlh149 y durante la carencia de pi spx1 actuar\u00eda como regulador positivo de su acumulaci\u00f3n. La alteraci\u00f3n en los niveles de expresi\u00f3n de bhlh149 provoca cambios en el tama\u00f1o de las c\u00e9lulas epid\u00e9rmicas as\u00ed como en la biomasa de la planta, indicando que este gen regula negativamente el tama\u00f1o celular, as\u00ed como el porte de la planta. Este control se ejerce probablemente a trav\u00e9s de la ruta de los brasinoesteroides, mediante la interferencia con los factores transcripcionales bee1 y bee2. De los resultados obtenidos se propone que bhlh149 controla el crecimiento y la proliferaci\u00f3n celular dependiente de la cantidad de pi del medio.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos
