El objetivo principal que se ha logrado en este trabajo ha sido el hecho de que, por vez primera, se ha proporcionado al conocimiento historiogr\u00e1fico de un an\u00e1lisis de la pintura barroca Valenciana como un todo global, en un marco interdisciplinar en el que se entiende el arte en un contexto social y cultural.  los cap\u00edtulos primero y segundo, tratan de diferentes aspectos relacionados con el pintor Valenciano de la segunda mitad del siglo xvii, la forma de relacionarse con otros compa\u00f1eros de profesi\u00f3n, aspectos relativos a su formaci\u00f3n o aprendizaje, la clientela de la \u00e9poca y la manera en que esta influye en su proceso creativo, condicionando la preponderancia de unas g\u00e9neros pict\u00f3ricos sobre otros.   el cap\u00edtulo tercero est\u00e1 dedicado al estudio de la evoluci\u00f3n estil\u00edstica de la pintura Valenciana del barroco, desde su propia g\u00e9nesis hasta su declive en las primeras d\u00e9cadas del siglo xviii. Contiene las biograf\u00edas in\u00e9ditas de los principales pintores del periodo y una catalogaci\u00f3n minuciosa y extensa de su producci\u00f3n.   el cuarto cap\u00edtulo trata de la importaci\u00f3n de obras y la presencia de artistas extranjeros en la Valencia de la \u00e9poca, as\u00ed como la importancia que tuvieron el grabado y las fuentes impresas en el aprendizaje de los pintores y el papel que desempe\u00f1aron como difusores de modelos de otros centros pict\u00f3ricos europeos.  el \u00faltimo cap\u00edtulo est\u00e1 dedicado a la influencia que ejerci\u00f3 en
