El receptor endotelial de tgf-beta, alk1 (a ctivin-like kinase receptor type i), est\u00e1 implicado en los fen\u00f3menos de remodelado vascular y angiog\u00e9nesis. El da\u00f1o vascular, as\u00ed como la hipoxia sufrida en situaciones de isquemia, son dos de los principales est\u00edmulos de estos procesos. En nuestro l aboratorio estudiamos la regulaci\u00f3n transcripcional de alk1 en respuesta a estos est\u00edmulos. Ante la disrupci\u00f3n de la monocapa endotelial, uno de los principales factores involucrados en la respuesta a da\u00f1o vascular, klf6 (kr\u00ed\u00bcppel-like factor-6), se u ne a elementos localizados en la regi\u00f3n promotora de alk1, cooperando con la transcripci\u00f3n llevada a cabo por sp1 para potenciar la expresi\u00f3n de alk1, promoviendo la angiog\u00e9nesis y aumentando la proliferaci\u00f3n y la supervivencia de las c\u00e9lulas endotel iales. Asimismo, en situaciones de isquemia, la bajada en la presi\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno en la c\u00e9lula hace que el principal efector molecular de la hipoxia, hif-1alfa (hypoxia-inducible factor-1alfa), se una a elementos funcionales en el promotor de alk1 para  cooperar con las se\u00f1ales emitidas por el tgf-beta1\/bmp9, estimulando transcripcionalmente su expresi\u00f3n. De este modo, la se\u00f1alizaci\u00f3n del tgf-beta en la c\u00e9lula endotelial, mediada por alk1, es clave para la respuesta ante situaciones de emergencia c elular (da\u00f1o e hipoxia) mediante estimulaci\u00f3n de angiog\u00e9nesis, y para evitar las complicaciones patol\u00f3gicas que derivar\u00edan de la p\u00e9rdida de la integridad endotelial.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
