Dentro del contexto de la reaccion de belousov-zhabotinsky se consideraron los efectos de campos electricos alternos, la influencia de las propiedades elasticas del medio, mecanismos de autointeraccion y de desdoblamiento de autoondas. Tambien se pusieron de manifiesto los limites de validez de los diferentes mecanismos estudiados. A partir de este estudio se dio un paso mas en el acercamiento a sistemas mas complejos como el musculo cardiaco, en este sentido se construyo un modelo unidimensional en hardware de la propagacion de pulsos de excitacion en tejidos cardiacos donde todos los parametros del sistema podian ser controlados.
