Ruiz Ponte <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La peque\u00f1a talla de las larvas de bivalvos obliga a que los cultivos se mantengan en un medio confinado. Esta tecnica de cultivo de por si, es susceptible de provocar proliferaciones bacterianas. Ante esto, la practica habitual ha sido el uso de antibioticos, lo que ha provocado la seleccion de bacterias patogenas resistentes. Hoy en dia, las investigaciones se centran en el uso de bacterias con efectos beneficiosos para las larvas, conocidas como probioticos. En este estudio se aislo una cepa bacteriana de origen marino, identificada como roseobacter sp., Que presenta actividad antimicrobiana frente a un amplio espectro bacteriano. Lo mas novedoso es que esta cepa solo muestra actividad inhibitoria cuando esta en contacto con otras cepas bacterianas. Al probar el efecto de esta cepa sobre los cultivos larvarios, se observo que el lisado bacteriano obtenido a partir de cultivos de roseobacter favorecia significativamente la supervivencia larvaria. Este resultado sugiere que el lisado puede ser utilizado como probiotico en cultivos larvarios de pecten, ya que la sustancia antimicrobiana presente en el mismo protege a las larvas frente a la accion de patogenos.
