En particular, las primitivas de arcos circulares y el\u00edpticos son las figuras geom\u00e9tricas normalmente utilizadas en an\u00e1lisis digital de im\u00e1genes y en reconocimiento de patrones. En este trabajo de investigaci\u00f3n, se presenta un m\u00e9todo geom\u00e9trico robusto basado en el error absoluto medio para ajustar un c\u00edrculo\/elipse a un conjunto de datos. La mayor\u00eda de los m\u00e9todos geom\u00e9tricos o algebraicos son sensibles al ruido y a puntos at\u00edpicos (outliers), por ello los resultados normalmente son inaceptables. El criterio del error m\u00ednimo absoluto conduce a estimaciones robustas. Sin embargo, la funci\u00f3n objetivo no es diferenciable y por lo tanto los algoritmos basados en el gradiente no pueden ser aplicados. Se propone un algoritmo basado en la derivada parcial por la derecha e izquierda que permite una eficiencia computacional y presenta una propuesta alternativa a los algoritmos
